TPERN is encouraging its members to fight against the proposed amendment to the substitute assessment rule. This amendment would keep students from using qualifying PSAT/SAT etc scores to meet EOC requirements unless they first attempt and fail the EOC. So a perfect score on the SAT would not be good enough to earn you a Texas high school diploma unless you first fail STAAR!
