Has anyone opted out in _________ ISD?

Specific local STAAR related issues, such as how specific districts or campuses treat Opt Out, summer school or any other topic discussed generally in this forum.

AISD south austin? Middle school or High school? The principal mentioned in a meeting that our school has families that opt out but did not give details. This is our 1st year opting out.

Hi - Just curious is anyone has opted out in Richardson ISD - We just reiceived notice that the kids will be taking the practice STARR math test tomorrow and the practice STAAR reading Test on Wednesday.
Please send a jacket with the kids - feed them and give them all their medication if nesessary. :P - ARE you kidding me :o

We have had a lot of opt out parents in Richardson. If you search the group you can find people to private message about it. There is also a Facebook group: Richardson ISD Parents Opting Out of STAAR

Looking for anyone who has successfully opted out for Texas Virtual Academy Hallsville (TVAH) or Texas Online Preparatory School (TOPS). Both are the online public schools through K12. The handbooks specifically state that you cannot opt out and that STAAR testing is used for grade promotion in all grades. Any help is greatly appreciated!
